End-to-end QA validation

Qontext, an enterprise social collaboration platform which spurs active collaboration streams that can be recalled contextually across business applications, tasked Imaginea's test engineers with end-to-end validation and verification of their entire application.

Challenges

Since Qontext is a SaaS-based enterprise application, ensuring security and privacy of data was of utmost importance, and data loss and functional failures were unacceptable. In addition, the application had to be intuitive to use. As the product aims to increase productivity, its key evaluation characteristics were performance, functional capability and good response times, while working across different time zones. Qontext is integrated with SalesForce by installing an Apex package created on SalesForce. This had to be tested to ensure that that this installation did not affect SalesForce, or vice versa. Product usage was to be expected in Chinese, Spanish, other European and Far-Eastern Languages as well, including RTL and LTR languages.

Engagement model and services

Imaginea test engineers were involved right from the development stage - understanding the product, the domain, the test team objectives, expectations from the development team and the required deliverables. A dedicated team was setup with two test developers and three functional testers with a QA architect available on a need basis.
