An on-demand internet start-up leveraged Imaginea's wide array of platform engineering services and the depth of engagement to truly scale their operations and went on to become a global on-demand software company that offers Sales Configuration, Quoting and Proposal software on the cloud. The client partnered with Imaginea to build a SaaS platform with a comprehensive suite of on-demand sales tools, products and services. The suite helps configure products, quotes and create linked proposals and orders.
The challenge was to streamline the sales process from inquiry to order with on-demand product configuration, workflow approvals and proposal generation using the SaaS platform. The pressures from the market and investors mandated a faster conversion from ideas to features. The Imaginea team lost no time in absorbing key business aspects, the technology, complex evolving standards and requirements of the large-scale system architecture. Key modules of this platform were completely designed and developed Imaginea.
Working unplugged
Some sales teams spend much of their time travelling to customers, so they need a flexible web-based solution that they can access anywhere - even when offline. The client engaged Imaginea to build the offline solution on Dekoh™ — Pramati's cross-OS, web-desktop platform that brings several key J2EE, database and web services modules together, in a compact-footprint package, ready for end consumer use. Offline applications are distributed and installed on the desktop from a central location.
True Scale — wider services and deeper engagement
Imaginea also customized several of the client's customer implementations suited to their industry or vertical. In addition to experiencing the gamut of Imaginea's services, the client also entrusted Imaginea with improving the performance of the platform. Imaginea Performance Engineering experts delivered a 60% performance improvement.
As the client continued to make inroads in the market, we were able to successfully match up to its pace of growth and expectations — delivering quality offerings that scale. Team Imaginea continues to provide onsite and off-site implementation services — with even the customer's services team turning to Imaginea to resolve tricky issues, when required. Moving from a team of two, Imaginea quickly ramped up to a large team that is now an important cog in the client's engineering efforts.
